Mr. Yago Castro Izaguirre held the position of General Manager of Caribbean Cement Company Limited from August 1, 2019, until he was appointed Managing Director on December 1, 2020. Before, he held the position of General Manager at Arawak Cement Company Limited. He has extensive industrial and strategic experience, having worked for almost 16 years at Cemex in Europe, Midwest, and Central America. Prior to that, he was the Planning, Procurement and Legal Director for Cemex in Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador.

Mr. Castro Izaguirre obtained a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an Executive MBA from the IE Business School. He has a strong technical and operational background, coupled with financial and strategic management skills.
